Come early to eat, drink, ride the rides, and get a good spot right in front of the stage! You'll be able to see Johnny Guitar's fast fingers up close. Doug Schultz and the So and So's (Doug and Patrick from YesMen) will be debuting their acoustic duo set on Saturday, August 19 at Harry's of Arlington in downtown Arlington Heights. Check them out as they open for Chicago's very own, Nice Peter. You can expect a few YesMen favorites, a cover or three, and maybe, just maybe, a couple Doug Schultz and the So and So's originals. Check out www.dougschultzandthesoandsos.com. Showtime... 9:30 PM. May 13, 2006: YesMen Say, "Let's Give Nellie's A Go..." YesMen will appear on Friday, May, 26 at Durty Nellie's Pub in Palatine, IL. The opportunity to play the show came up several weeks ago. Manager, Bryan Adamick came to the band asking if they were interested in playing Nellie's again. Rich Schultz, guitarist/singer/songwriter/comptroller, thought for a moment, and then replied... "Let's give Nellie's a go." And "a go" YesMen shall give it. Make your plans to kick off the Summer in style as YesMen play Durty Nellie's. Showtime is 10 PM. Rock will follow. March 14, 2006: New Tunes For Your Ears At Martyrs' YesMen will be unvailing several new originals during their 90 minute set at Martyrs' this Saturday, March 18th. A number of these tunes were to be played at Durty Nellie's back in January. "These songs are fresh, yo" exclaimed YesMen singer and guitarist Doug Schultz while walking out of their practice space in Elk Grove, IL. "I LOVE MUSIC!" he belted out, as he sped away in his 1981 Avanti. YesMen will be playing with old pals, The Jesters, at Martyrs'. Thanks to all friends, family, and fans who put their well-being on the line to come out and see YesMen on Friday night during the snow storm. YesMen rocked the stage for a slightly abridged set (due to a late start to the night). Many fans expressed their displeasure with the short set. YesMen would like to apologze. Likewise Jim Dozel (part owner of Durty Nellie's) apologized for the timing issues for the night. Don't fret folks! More YesMen is soon to come. YesMen will make their illustrious return to the stage on Friday, January 20, 2006 at Durty Nellie's in Palatine. They will be opening for national touring band, The Last Vegas. The band has been busy writing and practicing new material that will be debuted during 2006 shows. Look for a rock and roll spectacular (of sorts) in January or February. September 15, 2005: Q101 Presents YesMen!!! YesMenMania is running wild in Chicago this fall as Chicago's Alternative, Q101, presents YesMen live at Cubby Bear Wrigleyville on Friday, September 30. There will be more info to come, but listen to Q101 for commercials and maybe even a spin of one of your favorite YesMen tunes. August 22, 2005: "Montana" video debuts on ifilm YesMen are proud to unvail the music video for their tune, "Montana." Friend of the band, Donato has put in a lot of hard work to create this one-of-a-kind music video to the music of YesMen's "Montana." Check it out doggs! May 12, 2005: YesMen, Rockin' You Like Silly Crazy! YesMen are back in the business of rockin' and rollin'. Ya know? Just announced, YesMen will be back on stage at Durty Nellies in Palatine, IL on Saturday evening, June 11. In addition, YesMen will be try to help revitalize the Chicago "All Ages" music scene as they play an all ages show at The Studio in Rogers Park on Sunday, July 10. The Jesters will also appear on the bill, so come one, come all! April 17, 2005: YesMen to Play Famous IPO Festival! YesMen will be hitting the stage for the first time in over 5 months on Saturday, April 23 for the International Pop Overthrow Festival. The 20 minute, afternoon set will take place in Chicago at Gunther Murphy's at about 3:30 PM (18 and up show.) Tickets are available at the door for $6. January 17, 2005: YesMen, Recording "Hay 4 Sale" YesMen are currently putting some finishing touches on a third album entitled, "Hay 4 Sale.". This time, the band is being recorded by YesMen guitarist and singer, Rich Schultz. The band is looking for a rawer sound than was heard on their most recent release, "The Hurt Game." Some songs that will be included on the CD are: Trailer Park, China, Break Up with Your Boyfriend, and 1, 2, 3 Tiffany. Check back often for more info and upcoming shows. November 22, 2004: YesMen, Thanksgiving, Nellies!!! What better way to settle your stomatch the day after Thanksgiving than with some YesMen rock!!? Brace yourselves you tricksters! YesMen return to Durty Nellies in Palatine on Friday, November 26. YesMen hit the stage at 10 PM. They follow an acoustic performance by MER, and will be warming up the crowd for St. Louis' Seven Star, and Bloomington's very own, King Solomon's Grave.
