8, 2003: Thanks! Sincerely, YesMen -
This time of year is a time to reflect on the past year and give
thanks to family, friends, and, for YesMen, all of our fans. In
many cases, family, friends, and fans are the same people. That
is crazy stuff. Wowzers! Anyway, we appreciate everyone's support
over the past year. YesMen have a New Year's resolution
we
are going to release "The Hurt Game." Yes, we thought
it would be released late in 2003, but we had a couple setbacks
and we promise it will be in your hands in 2004! Yippee. You know
what we mean?! Have a happy and safe holiday and keep checking
YesMenRock.com for news and shows.

10, 2003: YesMen, Honorable Mention in Duck® Tape Contest
-
YesMen received an "Honorable
Mention" in the Duck® brand duct tape "Rock About
the Roll" contest. The band is flattered, but realizes they
have a long way to go. "We know we have to keep working hard
at this. Honorable Mention is great, but boy oh boy
when
you work all year for this and you fall short, it's tough to swallow,"
a slightly teary-eyed Brad McCarty (drummer) mumbled as he walked
out of church Sunday morning. First prize in the jingle-writing
contest would have meant a cash prize and a year's supply of duct
tape. YesMen have already been talking about a plan for next year's
Duck® tape contest.
